Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme visas

The Youth Mobility Scheme replaced the Working Holiday Maker Scheme. It is designed to enable young nationals of certain countries to gain entry clearance to live and work in the UK for a maximum of 24 months.

Our solicitors will advise you on all aspects of the Youth Mobility Scheme, including what the application process involves and explaining the conditions to which, if granted, your entry clearance will be subject to.

This scheme is for young people who are nationals of the following countries:

  • Canada
  • Australia
  • Japan
  • New Zealand
  • Monaco

The scheme is also open to British Overseas Citizens, British Overseas Territories Citizens or British Nationals (Overseas).

Mulberry Finch can assist you with your application to apply for entry clearance under this scheme. We will advise you concerning if an application can be made and the requirements to meet. This includes:

  • Determining if you are eligible to make an application, by taking into account factors such as your age and if there is anyone dependent on you;
  • If you meet the maintenance requirement in terms of funds available to you, and what documents bearing specified information must be used as proof of the availability of these funds; and
  • How, if at all, any previous time spent in the UK will affect your application.

If your application is successful, we will explain the conditions to which your entry clearance will be subject.

If you have any queries on the Youth Mobility Scheme, please call our immigration team now to assess your situation and ensure that you are moving in the right direction.
