Tier 2 Ministers of Religion Visas

If you are a minister of religion undertaking preaching and pastoral work, a missionary, or a member of religious orders, and have been offered employment or a post within your faith community in the UK, you may need to apply for a Tier 2 Ministers of Religion visa to gain entry to the UK.

Mulberry Finch will assess your individual circumstances and advise you on whether a Tier 2 Ministers of Religion visa is necessary before entering the UK, by determining:

  • What your pastoral duties will include;
  • What your work as a missionary will include; and
  • Whether your work will be in a religious order.

If it is determined that you do need to obtain a Tier 2 Ministers of Religion visa, our team of expert solicitors will assist you with your application through to completion. This will include:

  • Advising on and preparing the supporting documentation to be submitted with your visa application to demonstrate that you meet the relevant criteria;
  • Determining if you achieve the relevant pass mark for points for a visa, by assessing your attributes, English language skills and maintenance; and
  • Completing and submitting your visa application on your behalf.

It may be that following the assessment of your circumstances, we will advise that a Tier 2 Ministers of Religion visa does not need to be applied for. If this is the case, we will explain what alternative options are available to you in order to gain entry to the UK.

If you have any queries on whether you require a Tier 2 Ministers of Religion visa, and on your application, please call us now to assess your situation and ensure that you are started in the right direction with your visa application.

The lawyer assigned to our case was excellent. Rob was friendly and knowledgable and gave us the guidance we needed. I particularly appreciate his prompt attention to our (many) questions over e-mail and telephone. We were ultimately successful. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
