The following application process is based on Mulberry Finch's years of experience in preparing successful UK Immigration applications. The process has been employed in securing countless approvals, as is evidenced from the following references from previous clients. Would you like to proceed today?

  1. Basic Eligibility Check. Please check eligibility for Tier 1 (General), using the Tier 1 (General) Highly Skilled Migrants Visa Points Calculator.
  2. Engagement. If you meet the points requirement in each of the sections of the calculator, a Mulberry Finch lawyer will contact you to start the application process. Your name as it appears on your passport, your postal address, and your contact phone number and email address will be required, to allow us to provide you with our Client Care letter. This simply states what we will do for you in writing.
  3. Payment. If you are then happy to proceed, Mulberry Finch will request payment of the service fee. Only the Mulberry Finch service fee is due at this stage. The UK Government charge will not be due until your application is ready to be submitted.
  4. Start-up. A Tier 1 (General) lawyer will then be assigned to assist you. The lawyer will contact you by telephone to discuss the circumstances surrounding your case in order to prepare an initial written document list informing you of the documentary evidence you will need to collect to ensure that your application is not rejected on a technicality. Upon receipt of the written correspondence from the lawyer, you will then progress your case by collecting the requested documents.
  5. Collection. You will need to collect the documentation that has been requested of you. Once you have collected the documents you may forward these to your lawyer who will contact you to arrange a telephone appointment upon receipt. You will need to post photocopies, if you are unable to send scans of the documents that you have been requested to provide, prior to your telephone appointment.
  6. Detailed Telephone Appointment. This initial telephone appointment will allow the lawyer assigned to assist you to understand your circumstances in detail, and then based on conversation with you and a review of the documents that you have been able to collect, you will be provided with detailed and specific instructions on what you need to further collect or address before your application will be ready for submission. It is usually these further documents that make the difference between approval and rejection.
    1. The lawyer will explain to you in detail exactly what the problems or weaknesses with your application are. Remember, the Immigration Authorities will carefully review your documents against set criteria, and if you are rejected on a technicality, you will need to pay the Application Fee a second time, in order to be approved. Furthermore, if you do not provide a document that the Immigration authorities are expecting, they will reject your application, rather than give you an opportunity to provide it later.
    2. The application process will be explained to you in detail, and all documentary requirements will be explained giving you the essential tools to prepare a successful application.
    3. The lawyer assigned to assist you will specify in detail any additional letters you may need to obtain to support your claims, if the evidence you already have will be considered weak by the Immigration Authority's standards. The letters will need to be to the high standard required to ensure approval.
  7. Further Collection. You will then need to follow the advice provided in the telephone consultation, and collect further documents that have been requested, obtain corrections/replacements to the documents that issues have been identified for, and obtain supporting letters where required. You can also download the Tier 1 (General) application form and complete this. (Many countries require the form to be submitted online instead. If this is the case for you, the lawyer will advise you.) Don't worry, you are free to make mistakes. Do your best. Everything you complete will be reviewed in exceptional detail by the lawyer assigned to assist you, before your application is submitted. Any issues or weaknesses will be identified before your application is submitted.
  8. Detailed Application Study and Application Report. Submit what you have prepared in line with the advice that was provided during the detailed appointment to Mulberry Finch's offices. Either send a scan or send a photocopy of everything. The lawyer assigned to assist you will consider the application and documents provided. Once you have had the required letters signed, and collected the remaining documentation, the lawyer assigned to assist you will then carry out a detailed study of your case, assessing each area of the application using the same tests that the UK Immigration Authorities will use to make their decision. This process takes 4 hours on average, but can take longer. A detailed bespoke Application Report will be completed for you, outlining all the issues to be addressed, in writing, if the application is still not at the standard required for approval. Detailed steps will be provided to you in this report, to ensure that you know exactly what you need to do. Otherwise, the report will confirm your application is ready for approval, again guaranteed with Mulberry Finch's full refund policy.
  9. Double Check. Once your Detailed Application Study and Report is complete, it will then be passed on to a second lawyer, that has not dealt with your case before. This allows an independant person to completely review the Application and Report prepared, making sure nothing has been overlooked. The lawyer assigned to assisting you will contact you once the review is complete. You will generally be contacted within 48 hours.
  10. Application Report Telephone Review. Once the review is complete, ideally we will then confirm that your application is ready to be submitted. Remember that Mulberry Finch have a policy to provide a full refund if an application is prepared and submitted in line with the advice provided to you, and is then rejected. Mulberry Finch clients can rest assured that it is also in the company's interest to ensure the application is approved. We will explain the report to you during a telephone review, allowing you to either submit the application, or, if required, follow the final steps in the Application Report first. Follow these steps, and your approval is guaranteed with Mulberry Finch's full refund policy.
  11. Submit. Your application is submitted to Embassy or High Commission, with the associated UK Government charge.
  12. Decision. A decision will follow usually within 6 weeks.
