At Mulberry Finch we take the privacy of our clients very seriously. Our privacy policy, incorporating our client confidentiality measures and our data protection undertaking, is detailed below.
Client Confidentiality
Paper Files
All received files, documents or any other client information whatsoever of a confidential nature shall be kept in secured filing cabinets. Access to confidential files is restricted to those advisers who need to have access. Files and documents pertaining to clients will never be removed from Mulberry Finch's premises.
Confidential material will not be left where it can be seen by any person with no right of access to such information.
Electronic Files
Where client information is received electronically through online forms or email, and where electronic copies of documents are made or stored, advisors will ensure that all such documents are stored within the appropriate password-protected directories. If work with confidential material is being done on a computer, the information will not be left on the screen if the advisor is to leave the desk/office, even if only for a short time.
Confidential information will not be jotted down on notepads or pieces of paper which can be easily mislaid.
Data Protection Undertaking
'DP Legislation' means the Data Protection Act 1998 in the UK and any equivalent applicable legislation in any other relevant country.
'Personal Data' means any personal data as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998 which is transferred to Mulberry Finch by the client and which is Processed by Mulberry Finch during or as a result of it performing the Services.
'Processing' has the meaning attributed to it in the Data Protection Act 1998, and 'Process', 'Processor' and 'Processed' shall be construed accordingly.
- Mulberry Finch is a Processor in respect of the Personal Data for the purpose of the DP Legislation. Mulberry Finch will only use the Personal Data in the provision of services pursuant to an agreement in accordance with the instructions of the client.
- Mulberry Finch has technical and organisational measures in place to prevent unlawful or unauthorised Processing of Personal Data or accidental destruction or loss of, or damage to, Personal Data, as detailed in our client confidentiality measures above.
- Mulberry Finch shall not process any Personal Data other than as reasonable required in connection with the provision of services in accordance with the terms and conditions associated with the services and shall not transfer any Personal Data without prior written consent of the client.
Mulberry Finch process personal information collected via our site for the purposes of providing a professional service, and for administering competitions.
