- Points are awarded for workers’ skills and also the demand for these skills in any given sector, to enable the UK to respond flexibly to changes in the labour market.
- It is a transparent, objective, and fair system, which enables migrants to assess the likelihood of making a successful application and should therefore help to reduce the number of failed applications.
