HSMP changes: Migrant Indians appeal to Indian Government

By Isis

More than 30,000 Indian migrants who arrived in the UK under the HSMP programme have written to the Indian president objecting to changes to the scheme to be applied retrospectively.

The changes will take effect in November adn will impact those who are over the 28 year age gap and earning less than 30,000 pounds a year. The changes have been criticised because they affect the lives of so many, and the changes they have made to their own and their families’ lives in moving to the UK.

A group of those impacted by the rule changes plan to file a class action against the British government.
