HSMP (UK Highly Skilled Migrant Programme) was replaced with PBS Tier 1 (General) Highly Skilled Visas in 2008.

Age (maximum 20 points)

HSMP points are awarded for applicants who are 31 years of age or younger.

MBA provision (maximum 75 points)

HSMP applications for applicants with an MBA from one of the following universities will score the full 75 points required, based on MBA. If you hold an MBA from another university, skip to the next question.

Educational, professional, or vocational qualifications (maximum 50 points)

The HSMP calculator will award up to 50 points for your completed qualification.

Earnings (maximum 45 points)

The HSMP calculator will award up to 45 points for your earnings. Select your total earnings for 12 of the last 15 months. You can include full-time earnings and part-time earnings that were made during a continuous 12-month window. Furthermore, you can claim earnings from a 12-month period before your studies, if you have been studying full-time during the last 12 months.

Your country of earnings will allow the HSMP calculator to apply to correct country multiplier.

UK experience (maximum 5 points)

The points calculator will award you an additional five points if either your earnings where made in the UK, or if you have studied in the UK for either three consecutive terms or one year on a course that led to a degree.
