Bullying in the Workplace

Bullying covers situations where you are intimidated by another employee at work. Bullying includes humiliation, abuse and any sort of violence, and undermining of your confidence. For example, if you are constantly picked on or treated unfairly, it probably amounts to bullying.

Although bullying is not covered by specific legislation, claims can be made to the Employment Tribunal under the laws covering discrimination, harassment and unfair dismissal. If you are forced to resign as a result of bullying you may be able to make a constructive dismissal claim.

If you feel that you are being bullied, you should keep a written record with details of each incident. We can advise you on raising a grievance with your employer to address the situation - your employer is required to protect you at work, including protection from bullying.

I was impressed with speed and accuracy. But more than anything I was impressed with the final result. Well done!
