Packing your bags for some long earned travel? Don’t forget to pack your PSP. You heard right. The Sony Playstation Portable now hosts a range of interactive city guides. Destinations for the guides include Rome, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Parise, to name a few.

Sony have teamed up Lonely Planet, to bring you amazing interactive travel guides. Sony’s talent in developing PSP interactive games is well known, and Lonely Planet have an established reputation in delivering guides you can trust.

The most exciting items are the audio and video tours.

And if it is the night life you want to catch up on, or the cities top food choices you want to find, the guides have it all. The best hotels, shopping spots, and the best sites. Apart from the obvious items, there is also a lot of information that you might not think of. In case of emergency, you will find hospital details, pharmacy locations, and Embassy locations too.

For day-to-day roaming, there are extensive maps which you can zoom in on. These include bus and train routes as well.

The city guides, titled “The Passport to…”, are also planned for US cities, and the number of European cities covered will grow. At the time of writing, the guides can be downloaded for £19.99 each from the Lonely Planet online shop.

In the tradition of the printed Lonely Planet guides, the PSP guides will include an audio language guide, and ”off the beaten track” audio tours.
