The UK government has stated that migration from Eastern Europe has exceeded primary forecasts. At present nearly all of the new migrants are from Poland. Moreover, at present there are no official records to indicate how many illegal immigrants are in Britain.
The media has fanned a public frenzy around what migrants will take jobs while pushing already strained resources such as schools and hospitals.
Critics gave stated that it is unfair to simply take a narrow view of certain sectors of new migrant populations, given that the statistics did not reflect certain circumstances such as those Poles who are leaving the country after concluding short term contracts or other temporary work.
